Let me see if I got this right. Kosovo has been part of Serbia for 700 years. Over time, Albanians moved across the border and eventually became the majority population. They then decided that they did not want to be part of Serbia any longer, and attempted to secede.

When Serbia tried to suppress the rebellion, the United States, the world's self-appointed policeman, stuck its nose into the affair, and our air force bombed Belgrade, the Serbian capital. I have been there since, and can attest to the fact that they did a very good job of it. Let's put this aside for a moment.

Florida, California and several other states have been part of the United States for less than 200 years. Over time, Mexicans and other Hispanics have settled in the United States and in some of these states are the majority population in all, or part, of these states. If, in the future, they decide that they want independence from the U.S. and the U.S. government takes steps to suppress the movement, based on precedent that we have established, shouldn't some well-intentioned nation, or group of nations, bomb Washington, D.C.? Seems only fair to me.
